| OUR COURSE FEATURES One of the advantages of our intensive Slovak language course is its combined teaching approach, consisting of two stages: 1st semester (5 months): You learn the Slovak language online while in your own country, gradually achieving a basic A1 level. At the same time, you prepare the necessary documents to obtain a national visa D. 2nd semester (5 months): You come to Slovakia with basic knowledge of the language and improve your skills through full-time classes at school, practice the language in the environment, and prepare for entering a university or starting work. |
During the course, you will:
- Learn the grammatical structures and rules of the Slovak language up to level B1.
- Master the vocabulary necessary for comfortable communication in any life situation and begin to communicate effectively.
- Learn the academic terminology needed to understand lectures, complete assignments, and communicate with professors.
- Learn about the history and culture of Slovakia, including the cultural traits of Slovaks.
- Work through the options for entrance general education tests that will be included in the course.

To register you need:
- Fill out the form digitally, not by hand.
- Print the completed application form and conditions, sign both documents at the end, scan or take a high-quality photograph of the signed documents.
- Send an email to ican@icanschool.sk with three attachments:
- Completed and signed scan/photo of the application form.
- Completed and signed scan/photo of conditions.
- A scan or high-quality photo of your passport (page with name and photo).
Unfortunately, it is impossible to influence the embassy's decision on a visa issue, and no school or university can do this.
We can give you some tips to help you.
– When you apply for a visa, do not use Booking, Airbnb or confirmation from any other site. You will need to find someone in Slovakia who will give you this confirmation, or get it from a place where you pay for your entire stay in advance (those that accept a refund if your visa is refused). Residence halls can do this.
– Read all requirements carefully and complete all documents accurately and according to instructions. Your visa may be rejected, for example, because a form should be filled out in capital letters but it was filled out in lower case letters. Have someone check your application and other documents before sending them to the embassy. If you want to be sure that everything is filled out correctly, you can use paid services for migrants, for example, alkur.sk.

We refund 90% of the payment if your visa is rejected before the start of offline classes. This means that if you take a combined intensive course (first semester online, second semester offline in Slovakia) and receive a negative response to your visa application before 1 February, you will receive €1,800 back (€2,000 full-time course price - 10% administration fee ).
No, if you have a national D visa. If you have a student residence permit, you can work up to 20 hours per week.
Yes, you can apply if you are over 15 years old and you study on our course 25 hours a week, having received a national visa D. The only condition remains that you can apply for a residence permit only after completing the course and completing your studies on it.
