How Our Free Slovak Language Courses Were Conducted
When we launched the free Slovak language course project, it was important for us to create a well-structured, engaging, and effective learning process.
The course consisted of 65 hours of instruction and was conducted online for participants from Bratislava and Košice. The program was intensive, with a clear structure and a strong focus on conversational practice and real-life communication. At the end of the course, students completed a final assignment summarizing their learning outcomes.
The courses were led by experienced ICAN School instructors, all of whom are native Slovak speakers with many years of experience teaching Slovak to international students. They understand not only the language itself but also the typical challenges students face: pronunciation, grammatical pitfalls, and language barriers, and know how to address these challenges in practice.
The project was supported at every stage - from participant recruitment to ongoing communication throughout the course. Communication was conducted in Russian, Ukrainian, English, and Slovak. Behind the scenes, this included schedule organization, instructor coordination, responses to hundreds of messages, and continuous student support.
We were happy to bring this project to life and are grateful to all participants for their trust
